Mexican Sunflower by TL Wilson Photography
I found this beautiful Mexican Sunflower while I was at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona. Unlike traditional sunflowers, this one grows on a tree. It is part of the Asteraceae familiy that is also known as the Tree Marigold. It was an overcast and quite windy on this afternoon, making getting the shot difficult, but it did allow for a great background. A bit of texture was added to the photograph for effect.
