Asante was an incredible lion who captured my heart with his expressive eyes. He lived at the Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Camp Verde, Arizona. I had the enormous pleasure of watching and photographing this amazing animal on several occasions before his untimely death earlier this year. My images of him pay tribute to this majestic animal. Rest in peace, Asante.
